Information used to operate the app
Shopify authentication provides your shop domain, session details and access credentials. Online sessions can include a staff member’s identifier, name, email address, locale and account permissions. Access and refresh tokens are encrypted in the production database. We also store a per-shop timestamp to limit repeated scan requests.
The app does not request customer or order access. Do not paste customer information, passwords, access tokens or payment information into the workspace or support messages.
Your review evidence
Business details you enter, pasted page HTML and imported consent-signal reports are processed in the workspace in your browser. The app does not save these review inputs or generated reports in its application database. Downloaded reports and footer drafts remain under your control. Your language preference may be saved in browser local storage.
When an available public-page scan is requested, the app server fetches a limited set of public pages from your authenticated shop’s domain and returns the retrieved evidence to your workspace. The app does not forward Shopify access tokens or browser cookies to those pages and does not save retrieved page bodies in its application database. Password protection and rate limits can prevent scanning.
If you add a business-details block to your Shopify theme, those settings are stored by Shopify and may be visible to visitors when enabled. Consent diagnostics run in the storefront; exported signal reports are provided by you for review. Remove the diagnostic block before publishing your theme.
Service providers
Shopify provides authentication, the app platform and theme storage. Netlify hosts this app. Its production session and scan-limit records are stored in a separate Neon PostgreSQL database in Frankfurt, Germany. Hosting providers may process request metadata, such as IP addresses, request paths, timestamps and error information, to deliver and protect their services.
Retention and deletion
Session records and scan-limit timestamps support authentication and abuse prevention. The app has no general age-based deletion schedule for these records. On receipt of a verified Shopify uninstall or shop-redaction notification, it deletes that shop’s sessions and scan-limit records from the application database. Provider recovery copies may expire separately from live records.
Uninstalling the app does not delete files you downloaded or evidence you saved elsewhere. Review any business information already published in your theme. Support emails are handled separately from app records; contact us to request access, correction or deletion, including questions about recovery copies.
